Hanoi – Ninh Binh 2 Days 1 Night Luxury Tour
This 2 day trip to Ninh Binh will cover the most highlights of Ninh Binh: visit to Hoa Lu – the ancient Royal Capital of Vietnam and Tam Coc with Halong type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves; Bai Dinh complex is the biggest Buddhism center of South east Asia with hundreds of statues of different sizes and Van Long Nature Reserve of wetlands.
Tour Itinerary
Hanoi – Hoa Lu, Tam Coc – Bai Dinh pagoda – Van Long Floating Village.
Duration: 2 days 1 night.
Day 1: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hang Mua (L, D)
Morning depart from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, located in the marshy Red River delta, featuring a network of waterways coupled with spectacular limestone formations rising up from rice paddy fields. Spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le temples of the Ancient Capital Hoa Lu which are dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the founders of the ancient capital during the 10th century.
Transfer to your hotel for checking in, take rest and have lunch at restaurant with local specialties.
Afternoon, continue drive to Tam Coc (you might opt out for riding a bicycle) and boarding a small sampan to visit Tam Coc which means literally “Three Caves”. With Halong type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves, as well as countryside sights like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields, Tam Coc really has it all.
Continue on to Hang Mua, where you will wallow in a wonderful landscape of mountain, valley and river. Climbing up hundreds of steps to lead to a temple on top of a hill, the spectacular views from Hang Mua over Tam Coc and Ninh Binh’s stunning countryside are well worth the effort.
Have dinner at restaurant and overnight at hotel in Ninh Binh.
Day 2: Bai Dinh pagoda – Van Long Floating Village – Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast, check out your hotel then leave for Bai Dinh pagoda, spend time to visit the Buddha Prayer place in Bai Dinh Pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters height, 100 tons weight.
Continue to Van Long floating village (wetland) then take a boat trip for 2 hours rowing along this beautiful wetland of Van Long Natural Reserve, enjoying spectacular scenery surrounded by rice paddies and towering limestone mountain peaks.
Have lunch at local restaurant with some local special dishes such as Goat meat with elderberry, pork storage vessel.
Drive back to Hanoi late in the afternoon. Finish at your hotel.
