If you choose a trip to the North in November, where should you go to enjoy the autumn and winter weather to the fullest? South Asia Travel has selected and introduced famous places for you to help you avoid the headache of searching.

1. Northern weather in November

If you are planning to visit the North in November, you have chosen the right time to explore the beauty of this region. The weather in the North is now between autumn and winter, the weather is mild and cool, not too cold and not too hot. The temperature in the provinces ranges from about 10-24 degrees Celsius. You just need to bring an extra jacket to keep warm at night or early morning, otherwise, the weather during the day is very pleasant, almost not affecting the entertainment schedule.

In some northern mountainous provinces such as Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Son La, Dien Bien,… the temperature can be lower, about 5 – 19 degrees Celsius and the higher the altitude, the lower the temperature.

2. Some  tourist destinations in the North in November

2.1.  Hanoi in autumn

If you are a child of the Central or Southern region, one of the most beautiful and poetic destinations in November in the North is the capital Hanoi. At the end of November, when the first cold winds of the season blow, the sky is clear during the day, with a little sunshine. Sometimes it is a little chilly at night, but this cold is pleasant, not like the freezing cold of winter. This is also the right time for travel, enjoying peaceful moments to admire the beauty of autumn with loved ones.

One of the most beautiful areas to see this flower is Yen Phu intersection. This is where trucks full of white daisies with yellow pistils stand out under the rows of rice trees. Daisies follow the flower sellers down the street, the traders to the market and tourists everywhere. If you are planning to travel in November, come to Hanoi to see the beautiful white daisy season. And in the cold weather, there is nothing better than warming your stomach with a bowl of hot, delicious banh duc that fascinates so many people every winter.

2.2. Ha Giang – The buckwheat flower season is as beautiful as a picture

If you want to enjoy buckwheat flowers in Ha Giang, you can arrange to come here around October – December. The blooming season lasts for about 3 months, the color of the flowers will gradually change over time from white to light pink, dark pink and finally purple red and then wither. But if you want to see the flowers when they are bright red and blooming most beautifully, choose to travel to Ha Giang in November to capture the most sparkling moments of this fragile flower!

Throughout Ha Giang, everywhere is filled with the white and pink colors of this small, graceful flower. In some places, the flowers grow wild, in other places, the flowers are planted in large fields to serve tourists to take virtual photos. If this is your first time in Ha Giang, you should plan to go to Sung La village, Lung Cam cultural village, Suoi Thau grassland, Pho Cao commune, … These are all places with extremely large flower growing areas. In addition, you can freely travel to Ha Giang, on the way you will surely encounter many beautiful flower fields appearing before your eyes.

In addition, Ha Giang is also famous for the emerald green Nho Que River in November. The upper part of the Nho Que River is located in China and flows into Vietnam and turns through the highlands of Dong Van and through Dong Van and Meo Vac districts of Ha Giang province to join the Gam River at Na Nat in Ly Bon commune, Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province.

It seems like just a very simple stream of water and has nothing attractive, but this river has brought tourists a very unique and attractive beauty in your journey when coming to Ha Giang. This river with its extremely attractive beauty for tourists creates beauty between Tu San alley along with the beauty of Ma Pi Leng pass, it seems that all have created a natural scene that is extremely harmonious, simple, and beautiful to the heart.

2.3.  Moc Chau – Pure white mustard season

Moc Chau is most beautiful from November to December. All the villages in Moc Chau are covered by vast fields of rapeseed flowers, adding to the charming and gentle natural picture. This is also the time when backpackers flock to Moc Chau the most in the year to take pictures and admire the flowers.

Coming to Moc Chau in November, in addition to seeing canola flowers, there are many attractive destinations you should visit such as: Moc Chau farm, heart-shaped tea hill, Pa Phach village, Pha Luong peak, Bat Cave, Ngu Dong Ban On, Orchid garden, Dai Yem waterfall… these are all famous eco-tourism destinations of Moc Chau, each sightseeing spot contains its own interesting things that will leave you with memorable experiences.

2.4. Sapa – The beautiful cloud hunting season

November is the time for cloud hunting in Sapa, lasting until the end of winter. Visitors to Sapa during this season can easily see the sea of clouds caressed by the sun, slowly flowing down the valley like incense smoke. The sunset brings with it a hazy mist, making the whole town submerged in a floating mist, making it seem smaller. This is also the time when young people with a passion for photography can hunt for many beautiful shots.

Coming to Sapa, there are many places for you to hunt clouds, that is, climb Fansipan peak, trekking high mountains or sometimes finding a high-class resort on a hill where you can also see the breathtaking sea of clouds. In addition, in Sapa there are also remote villages with few tourists that also bring many wonderful cloud hunting experiences.

Coming to Sapa, you will breathe fresh air, listen to the chirping of birds, enjoy the beautiful nature, enjoy delicious specialties and most importantly have fun moments of cloud hunting. All you have to do is charge your phone and camera and get ready for the journey.

2.5. Binh Lieu in the dreamy season of reed grass

If you are a travel enthusiast and are looking for a new, pristine destination, the Western Border Patrol Road, Binh Lieu District will definitely be an ideal choice. In the late autumn days, this place wears a pure white, romantic coat woven from hills of reed flowers fluttering in the wind, inviting nature-loving souls to explore.

To fully admire this wonderful scene, you need to conquer milestone 1305, located on the highest mountain peak of Binh Lieu district. The road to the top of the mountain can be challenging, but when standing on the top, looking far away, you will feel the worthy reward. From here, a majestic natural picture opens before your eyes: endless white grass hills, blending with the green of the mountains and forests and the color of the clouds and sky, making your soul become light and peaceful.

The season of reed grass in Binh Lieu is from October to the end of November. Don’t worry that at the end of the season, the reed grass flowers will quickly wither and will no longer be as beautiful as at the beginning of the season. Because that’s not the case, until the end of the season, in November, the season of reed grass in Binh Lieu still has an extremely gentle and peaceful beauty.

In particular, don’t forget to explore the border patrol route, known as the “dinosaur spine” of Binh Lieu. This route will take you through many important border landmarks, with majestic landscapes on both sides, one side is Vietnam, the other side is China. This is definitely one of the most beautiful and memorable routes you have ever traveled.

Binh Lieu is not only a tourist destination, but also a journey for you to return to nature, return to yourself, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

2.6. Discover the fresh Mau Son

Where to go in November? At the end of the year, the scenery in Mau Son is likened to Europe because it is the highest mountain in the province, and has a very wild and romantic beauty. From November, the temperature in Mau Son begins to drop, preparing for the cold winter. This place is often covered in fog in the early morning, and on days when the temperature drops, there is also ice and snow. The road to Mau Son is always in a hazy state, making people want to keep many beautiful check-in photos.

Traveling to Mau Son in November – December is also the time when tourists can easily hunt clouds. The sea of white clouds descends on the tops of the mountains and hills, the fog hovers over each house, covering the roads, making tourists feel like they are lost in another land that is both beautiful and magical.

2.7. Ta Xua cloud hunting season

Ta Xua is located at an altitude of over 2800m, so the climate here is cool and pleasant all year round. Summer temperatures usually do not exceed 28 degrees Celsius, and winter temperatures are 3 to 6 degrees Celsius lower than in the plains. Ta Xua in November is in mid-winter, the weather is quite cold, and the day and night temperatures are low. There are days when the cold air increases, and Ta Xua has frost and fog everywhere, covering the sky in white.

From November to April of the following year, Ta Xua enters the ideal cloud hunting season. This is probably the only time of the year when you can easily catch such a beautiful natural cloud effect. In that scene, just raise your camera and you will have extremely cool virtual life photos in the middle of the sea of clouds. In addition, you can combine Ta Xua tourism in November with Moc Chau to admire the season of canola flowers, poinsettias, plum flowers, peach flowers, wild sunflowers… competing to show off their colors.

2.8. Tam Dao – Beautiful scenery like Europe

Traveling to Tam Dao in November will be wonderful. At this time, Tam Dao, which is already beautiful, becomes even more magical and stunningly beautiful. This place has long been compared to Da Lat of the North. In November, the air in Tam Dao also begins to get cold, white fog covers the hills. Wearing suitable clothes will create the feeling of being lost somewhere in the West.

Famous tourist attractions in Tam Dao such as Tam Dao Stone Church, Tam Dao National Park, exploring the night market… Every corner of this city is very beautiful so visitors can freely check-in and take virtual photos.
